4-H Camp Makes Memories
Summer is nearly upon us, and with summer comes the 4-H camping season. Adams County youth camp with youth from counties in the region at Canter's Cave 4-H Camp in Jackson. Camp sessions include the Cloverbud Overnighter for youth 5 and in kindergarten through second grade AND a parent or guardian; Beginner Camp for youth in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades, Junior High Camp for youth in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades, and Teen Camp, for older youth.

The annual Jr Fair Baking Contest will be held on Friday, July 20, in the Senior Fair Administrative Building at the fairgrounds. The Baking Contest is open to current members of any Junior Fair organization or club, and each organization or club may have one representative in each category.

Asian Longhorned Beetle Found in Ohio; OSU Extension Offers Information Hotline
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Agriculture today (6/17) announced the first discovery of Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) in Ohio. An exotic, invasive insect that kills maples and other trees, ALB was found in Bethel, Clermont County, in southwest Ohio.
