Become a Volunteer

Caring adult volunteers are key to the success of the 4-H program! Adults who work directly with 4-H’ers two or more times during the year are considered volunteers.

As such, they must complete the required OSU Extension volunteer approval process, which begins with the completion of a volunteer application and the signing of the Standards of Behavior, and includes reference checks, participation in an orientation meeting and a face-to-face interview with staff, and a BCI “webcheck” fingerprint background check conducted by the Sheriff’s office.

Anyone interested in becoming a 4-H volunteer may get the necessary forms and instructions by viewing the following links or contacting the Extension Office at 937-544-2339.
