OCVN Mission
To develop a corp of well-educated volunteers and
to
provide education, outreach,
and service dedicated toward
the beneficial
management
of natural resources
within their communities.
To promote awareness and
citizen stewardship of
Ohio’s
natural resources through
science-based education
and community service.

Program Objectives
- To improve public understanding
of natural resource ecology and management
- To enhance existing natural resource education and outreach activities
- To develop a statewide Ohio Master Natural volunteer network

Volunteer Selection Process:
Hancock County OCVN
Volunteer selection is managed by the OSU Extension coordinator.
Each OCVN applicant must be at least 18 years old, complete an
application, be interviewed, pass a fingerprint background check, and
have at least
two references checked.
