WOW 4-H Unicycle Club will have a 4-week Beginner Unicycle Class starting Sunday, February 5, from 3:00 - 4:00 at Blanchard Valley School Gym. The cost is $20.00 for the 4 weeks. Unicycles will be provided for the classes. All ages are welcome. For more info or to sign up call 419-422-8959

Calling all Cloverbuds! - Any youth age 5 (as of Jan. 1, 2012) and in Kindergarten to age 7 (& in second grade), are welcome to attend our next County Cloverbud Meeting.  We will be making a special treat and learning about some cool things that happen in the winter.  The meeting will be February 2nd from 6:15 to 7:15 pm at the Extension Office.  New members are welcome!

Great Service Project Opportunity - Looking for a community service project?  Peggy Burnett of the Taylor House is looking for individuals or clubs who might be interested in working with their residents.  The residents love to bake, but need someone who is willing to organize this task.  Everything is provided. If you don’t want to bake, but have small animals, love to play games, give manicures, work puzzles or just having a nice chat – your club is needed to visit this very welcoming community. The Ohio 4-H Volunteer and Ohio Teen Conference are fast approaching on Saturday March 10th at the Columbus Convention Center.  If you are interested in going, please contact the office or go to the website.  Registration to the county had been extended until February 6th.  The cost for teens – first ten in will be $10.00 after that $35.00.  Adult volunteers the cost is $10.00.  Hoping to see a big Hancock County showing! This program meets Hancock County’s annual volunteer training requirement and is a lot of fun!

Get your club batteries recharged on February 7th at the Maumee Valley EERA Volunteer Training. The Program “Building Blocks 4-H Advisor Training” begins at 6:30 p.m. at OSU Extension Putnam County, 124 Putnam Parkway, Ottawa OH. Quality Assurance training for Jr Fair Livestock Exhibitors will be held Saturday, May 19th at the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center, 7868 CR 140 Findlay OH. Participants should arrive from 9 - 11 am. The workshop will consist of four 15-minute sessions. Small groups of 15-20 youth will rotate through the stations and then be free to go.
