Dairy Beef Royalty

Each applicant must be a member of Hancock County 4-H or FFA. Candidates must have completed a minimum of one year participation in the dairy beef feeder project. King & queen candidates must be 15-18 years as of January 1, 2012; Prince and Princess candidates must be 12-14 years as of January 1, 2012. Additional rules also apply.  Applications are due by Friday, July 27, 2012 to the Jr Fair Office, 1017 E Sandusky St., Findlay OH 45840    Link to application form

This award is for Hancock County Jr Fair exhibitors who have taken a dairy feeder project for at least one year.

June 18 (pre-register by June 11) - Ohio 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl, Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center; Team event for junior competition and Dairy Jeopardy for Senior division participants.

July 1  - Deadline to apply for Ohio State Fair Scholarship; multiple opportunities for junior exhibitors and Ohio State incoming freshmen. (link should be updated in March)

Quality Assurance training for Jr Fair Livestock Exhibitors will be held Saturday, May 19th at the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center, 7868 CR 140 Findlay OH. Participants should arrive from 9 - 11 am. The workshop will consist of four 15-minute sessions. Small groups of 15-20 youth will rotate through the stations and then be free to go.
