Show Arena Improvement Project

The Hancock County Agricultural Society has taken on the project of updating the Show Arena. They are offering advertising as a way to offset the expenses involved in that project, as well as accepting donations.

Applications for 2012 Jr Fair Board were due September 16, and interviews have been held. We will post a listing of the new board soon.

Youth Building Activities & other Fair Contests

There were lots of fun activities at the 2011 Hancock County Fair - including a new 4-H Cloverleaf Scavenger Hunt, Pie Eating Contests, and expanded divisions for the Coloring Contest.

Thanks to everyone for their hard work setting up booths, they looked great! We still have a few posters that were in the Miscellaneous booth for members who's club did not have a fair booth.

Welcome Cassie Turner
Cassie Turner has joined the staff at OSU Extension Hancock County as an Extension Educator 4-H Youth Development. Cassie began working on October 1st and fills the vacancy left by Susan Russell who retired in June.

The 8th Annual Ohio 4-H Teen Conference and the Ohio 4-H Volunteer Conference which includes the Bob Evans Farms 4-H Recognition Luncheon will be held March 10th at the Columbus Convention Center. All older youth are encouraged to take part in this exciting event. Registration deadline is February 6th - and information is available at the Ohio 4-H web site.
