4-H Activities in Maumee Valley EERA

Quality Assurance; PAS Horse Shows; Project Workshops - various livestock, cake decorating, photography, robotics, food & nutrition, scrapbooking etc; Communications contest - health & safety speaking & demonstrations; Livestock Judging Contest and more. The Maumee Valley EERA includes Allen, Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, & Williams counties.

Youth Success - Workforce Prep

A new Web site has been launched by the Ohio 4-H Workforce Prep Initiative to serve as a resource to Extension professionals, teachers, parents, youth, employers and volunteers interested in conducting workforce preparation programs for youth. The site (http://youthsuccess.osu.edu/) shares information on OSU Extension programs and includes links to tools and related articles. The site serves as a platform to improve engagement with stakeholders on how OSU Extension is preparing youth for success. This effort has been supported through the Ohio 4-H Foundation and the Erie and Orlyss Sauder 4-H Career Development Endowment Fund. County 4-H News: Welcome Cassie Turner

Cassie Turner has joined the staff at OSU Extension Hancock County as an Extension Educator 4-H Youth Development. Cassie began working on October 1st and fills the vacancy left by Susan Russell who retired in June.

The 8th Annual Ohio 4-H Teen Conference and the Ohio 4-H Volunteer Conference which includes the Bob Evans Farms 4-H Recognition Luncheon will be held March 10th at the Columbus Convention Center. All older youth are encouraged to take part in this exciting event. Registration deadline is February 6th - and information is available at the Ohio 4-H web site.
