2011 Ag Hall of Fame Inductees

Bob McClelland, Dean & Joan Biery, John Beucler, and Bob & Leona Core were recently inducted into the Hancock County Agriculture Hall of Fame.
Annual awards will be made to men or women who have been instrumental to the success and excellence of agriculture, either as a farmer or in an agriculturally related field. We desire to honor and give public recognition to those who have brought distinction to themselves, have made outstanding contributions to their professions, and whose community involvement has served as a stimulus to others.
The number of awards made each year may not exceed four, and the number of posthumous awards will not exceed two of the four awards. Partnership or husband & wife applications will be considered as a single nomination and will use one application form. The number of awards presented each year (from none to four) will be determined by the committee. Candidates without merit will not be names for an award.
Award Categories: The award may be made in either of two categories.
Select from either Producer/Breeder OR Agricultural Related categories. Select from among individual, husband & wife, or partnership; and include necessary information on one application.
Candidates chosen for nomination must have made their major contribution to agriculture primarily as a result of being born, growing up, living in, or beginning their career in Hancock County. The goal is to have at least 25 years experience in agriculture. Honorees are selected via a ballot vote of the entire AgBusiness committee of GreaterFindlay Inc.
Hall of Fame Nominees may be submitted by an individual or organization in Hancock County by completing the nomination form. One additional page (8.5 x 11" paper) may be used, if needed. Other additional pages or information will not be considered. All nominations must be submitted by February 1, 2013 to OSU Extension Hancock County, 7868 CR 140 Suite B, Findlay OH 45840 or to GreaterFindlay Inc., 123 East Main Cross Street, Findlay OH 45840.

Their photo will be displayed in the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center. Further recognition may be given throughout the year at special county events such as the Hancock County Fair.
