Hancock County a great place to live and raise children. In fact, the community is a 4-time winner of America's Promise 100 Best Communities for Young People award! Shawn Ochs is Hancock County's new Extension Educator for Family and Consumer Sciences, having joined the staff in mid May. Two other grant-funded personnel: Amy Carles - Hancock Saves; & Karen McDougall - SNAP-Ed, contribute to Family and Consumer Science programs locally.

Let's Gather in the Kitchen!
This new food series centers around healthy nutrition and family fun. Classes will be held September 11, 18, & 25th from 6-7:30 pm at the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center. Call 419-422-3851 to RSVP as class size is limited. Funding for this program is provided in partnership with United Way's Halt Hunger Initiative.
