HancockSAVES is affiliated with AmericaSAVES and seeks to increase individual savings of youth and adults. HancockSAVES is also a United Way Partner Agency.

Manage Your Money Online Course
Free online interactive home study course. Participants are required to sign up for an account, but the course is completely free. The lessons are also available for download as PDF files at http://ohioline.osu.edu/mym

Home Ownership Program -

This two-part class is offered several times each year at the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center, 7868 CR 140, Findlay OH. Nancy Stehulak, Extension Educator Henry Co. provides instruction for the program. Topics covered include: preparing for home ownership, budgeting; credit counseling; shopping for a home; lender differences; obtaining a mortgage; loan closing (processing, documentation, costs); post-occupancy housing (foreclosure prevention); and life as a homeowner (warranties, maintenance, & repair). Registration is open to all interested persons. Fee for the class (includes both dates) is $75. Some scholarships are available. To enroll, and for fee information, contact Melanie Gerlach.
