Barbara Rohrs Obituary

Barbara Ann Rohrs, Extension Educator Family and Consumer Sciences in Defiance County passed away Friday, November 11th at St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo OH. Our sympathy goes out to the Rohr family and Barbara's many friends in Extension and the Defiance community.

Barbara was born on May 27, 1947 the daughter of Russell and Ann (Solin) Grafmiller in Portland, IN.

Barbara was a 1965 graduate of Portland High School. She graduated from Ball State University in 1971 with a Bachelor degree in Home Economics. She went on to earn her Masters Degree from Defiance College.

On April 15, 1978 she was united in marriage with G. Brian Rohrs.

G. Brian Rohrs, 66 died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, OH.

Brian and Barbara are survived by two sons and a daughter: Brian D (Rita) Rohrs of Defiance, Bryce Rohrs of Hicksville, & Bonnie Rohrs of Hicksville; Four grandchildren: Lucas, Caroline, Nicholas, & Kennedy; Brian's Father: George Rohrs of Hicksville; Brian's brother: Alan Rohrs of Perrysburg; and Barbara's sisters: Carol (Adair) Wolfinbarger of Irvine KY, Rebecca (Jim) Rhodes of Leo IN, and Jayne (Jon) Nichols of Muncie IN.

A combined funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 - 5 pm and 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery, Hicksville.

Memorials may be made to The American Red Cross, The American Cancer Society, or The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital.
