4-H members who participate in public speaking contests gain many valuable life skills! This is also a great project activity as it allows members to share the knowledge that they have gained in their project. State Fair rules permit larger participation numbers for the presentations which allows many younger members an opportunity to participate in the State Fair!
If you are a club health or safety officer then you could have fun leading your club in creating a health/safety skit. This is great for building friendships between club members as well as joining together in a friendly competition.
4-H members with health and safety talks or skits are welcome to attend this event for practice. Please arrive around 9:30 a.m. and inform the registration desk about your planned presentation.
Regional qualifying events for Health & Safety are June 26 at Newark, June 29 at the 4-H Center in Columbus or July 6 at OARDC, Wooster.
