  5. 4-H Lego Brick Battle

    4-H Brick Battle: A LEGO Showdown! Join us for an afternoon of creativity, competition, and colorful construction! When: January 10, 2026 | 1–3 PM Where: Hancock County Agriculture Service Center Age Divisions: (must be in at least 3rd grade) Beginning Builders: Ages 8–11 Intermediate Engineers: Ages 12–14 Senior Strategists: Ages 15–18 Bring your imagination and building skills. Cash prizes awarded in all divisions! Register today: Call 419-422-3851 to reserve your spot!

  6. Beef Tagging - required to show at Hancock County Fair

    Jan. 10, 2026 9:00am to 12:00pm

    If you are a beef exhibitor that plans on showing a Market Steer, Calf Club, or a Finished Dairy Steer at the 2026 Hancock County Fair your animal needs to be at tagging on Jan 10. Tagging will start at 9am and finish at 12pm. You will drive through the Buckeye Building, unload your steers, weigh & tag, reload and leave. A $10 mulch fee per head is also due on Jan 10.  Additionally, there will be a Cross Bred Dairy Steer class starting in 2026! 

  7. Extension Office Closed - Academic Recess

    The Ohio State University will be closed December 24 - January 1 in observation of the university's winter academic recess. Thank you to our community partners, volunteers, and 4-H members for a great 2025. We look forward to connecting with you in early 2026!
