Join Us at the Farmers’ Market!  Family and Consumer Sciences Educator Jennifer Little and SNAP-Ed Program Assistant Joanne Fyfe will be spending many Thursday afternoons at the Hancock County Farmers’ Market.  They will be helping celebrate the Power of Produce program, “POP Star”.  This program is open to area children ages 4-12 and will take place during June and July Farmer’s Markets.  Children who sign up will receive $4 in tokens to spend on local produce/edible plants, and will be able to take part in fun and educational activities each week at the Market.

Also, for families who receive SNAP benefits, the Hancock County Farmers Market is participating in Produce Perks, which allows individuals who use their SNAP benefits at the Market and receive up to $25 credit in Produce Perks tokens to spend on edible plants/produce each week.

OSU Extension/SNAP-Ed are happy to partner with the Hancock County Farmers Market, United Way and BVHS to expand our local foods resources to benefit even more of our area residents.  The Hancock County Farmers Market is held each Thursday from 4-6 pm at the MCPA parking lot (rain or shine) from May through October.  Come see us at the Welcome tent!
