The Riverbend 4-H Club met one June 23rd at the Salem-Cass United Methodist Church. Samantha called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Rylee, and the 4-H Pledge was led by Lauren. Katelyn took attendance by asking members what their lucky numbers were. Katelyn read the minutes from two meetings ago, Lauren moved to accept the minutes as read, Zach seconded that motion. Katelyn then read the minutes from the previous meeting and Lea moved to accept the minutes as read, and Amelia seconded that.

No member attended the Hems, Trims, and Buttons Clinic, or Help Night. The club then discussed club t-shirts.

Zach moved that the club donate $60 for trophies at the Junior Fair, the Pig, Horse, and Poultry trophies, Lea seconded that motion. Next the Education and Fun trip was discussed. Zach moved that the club have to separate trips for the Education and Fun Trip, Rylee seconded that. Zach moved that the club take the Fun Trip to Camp Clay, Rylee seconded that. Katelyn moved that the club take its Educational Trip to the Humane Society, and Amelia seconded that. 

Lea moved to adjourn the meeting, and Zach seconded the motion.For demonstrations, Amelia showed the club what proper measurements were and the correct way to measure out both wet and dry ingredients.

The Riverbend 4-H Club met on June 7th, 2021 at the Salem-Cass United Methodist Church. The meeting was called to order by Josie. Zach led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and Smantha led the club in the 4-H Pledge. Katelyn took attendance and there were twenty two members present. 

Edyie attended the Pattern Layout and Cutting held on May 24th and Sam Dolan attended Quality Assurance held on June 6th.

Adam offered four options to the lub for the community service work, they were Birthday in a bag, Potted Plants, Hygiene Bags, and Operation care package. Zach moved that the club have a sign up sheet for the items needed to do Birthday in a bag, Samantha seconded that motion. Samantha moved that the club provided a sign up sheet for items needed in order to do Hygiene Bags, Zach seconded the motion. Samantha moved that the club do a total of 10 Hygiene Bags and 10 Birthday Bags, Adam seconded the motion. Lea moved that the club put $50 toward extra needs for Birthday Bags as well as $50 towards any extra needs for Hygiene Bags, Samantha seconded the motion. Katelyn moved that the club should participate in the potted plants community service option, Samantha seconded the motion. Samantha amended the motion to one pot per 4-H member, Lea seconded the motion. Zach moved that the club pay for the pots and soil needed to complete this community service option, Amelia seconded this motion. In total the club has decided to do 31 painted pots, 10 hygiene bags, and 10 birthday bags. For a learning activity and advisor read fun facts about 4-H and quizzed the members on their new knowledge. Lea moved to adjourn the meeting and Zach seconded the motion. For demonstrations Leah taught members how to earn, save, and spend money.  Josie showed the members how to repot a plant and Zach gave a demonstration on how combines work.

The RIverbend 4-H Club held a meeting on May 18th, 2021. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Madeline and the 4-H Pledge was led by Lea. Attendance was called by Katelyn and the minutes from last meeting were read by Katelyn as well. Madeline accepted the minutes as read and Levi seconded the motion. Edie attended both the Sewing Machine License Sewing Clinic held Monday, April 19th and the Shopping prep and Hand Stitches Sewing Clinic held Tuesday, May 11th. Next the 4-H Benefit Auction was discussed. Two more donations are required. New business was discussed next. The Livestock Judging is cancelled and Quality Assurance on June 6th had a time change. 4-H Camp was also shortened with no bus transportation and no non-4-H members are permitted. The Club t-shirts are 10.95, Zach moved that the club pay 5 dollars for the total cost for each member, Katelyn seconded that motion. No members of the Education and Fun Trip or Community Service Committees were present to discuss ideas. Zac moved to adjourn the meeting and Sam seconded the motion. For the final brain break, David led us in watching and participating in a GoNoodle video.

On April 12th 2021, the riverbend 4-H Club met at the People’s storage barn in Arcadia. The meeting was called to order by Josie. Amelia led the club in The Pledge of Allegiance and Zach led the club in the 4-H pledge. Attendance was taken by Toni. Zach read the minutes from the previous meeting and Lea moved to accept the minutes as read. Samantha, Zach, and Lea all attended the ZOOM quality assurance session. THe club held the annual spring clean up at the reservoir on Saturday April 24th at 10 A.M. The education and fun trip committee and community service community were to have ideas for the next meeting.Edyl and David volunteered to donate a sewing kit and gift card to the benefit auction. Lea moved to adjourn the meeting and Sach seconded the motion.

On March 17th, 2021 the Riverbend 4-H club met for its first time at 7:00 PM. The club started out with The Pledge of Allegiance led by Adam and the 4-H pledge led by Samantha. Introductions were made to new and existing club members and club information was next discussed. The Marion Township Road Clean-Up held every year that will need to be completed by each family was discussed. It was also brought to attention to members that demonstrations would need to be completed before the end of July. Next discussed was how to enroll each member and the Hancock County 4-H Family Handbook Information. One member attended the LEAD Conference and it was brought up that members could sell Little Caesars Pizza and cookies to go towards their personal camp funds. The Hancock County Spring Clean-Up was scheduled for Saturday, April 24th at 10:00 AM. The available committees to sign up for were brought up and members had the chance to sign up at the end of the meeting. At the end of the meeting new officers were elected. Josie was elected as president, and Samantha was elected as Vice-President. Next up Katelyn was voted to be Secretary and Shawna as Treasurer with Leah as an assistant to follow in her footsteps. Adam was elected as the Community Service Officer and Lauren as the News Reporter. Madeline was elected as the new Health Officer and Landen as the new Safety Officer. Evie and David are the new Recreation Leaders and finally, Jessica and Zach are the new Historians. The meeting was adjourned by Josie.

The July 2nd meeting was held at Riverbend House #1. Andrea Sewell lead the Pledge of Allegiance and Krystle Robinson lead the 4-H pledge. 18 people were in attendance. The minutes from the last meeting were not read because our secretary was absent. The treasurer report was also not read. Josie Kessler, Katelyn Mays, Lauren Post, Hannah Post, Zach Altvater, Lea Altvater, Samantha Peoples, Olivia Cullen, Mya Mahler, Krystle Robinson, and Riley Stewart attended 4-H Camp. Our Education Trip will be at the Fire Department on Monday, July 29th at 3:00PM. The Birthday in a Bag and Hygiene Bags materials should be brought by our next meeting. All Non-Livestock Project Judging must be judged at a county judging session, make-up judging session or by a club advisor by August 1st. For all Livestock Projects Junior Fair Entries must be entered at https://hancoc.fairmanager.com by Friday, July 19th at midnight. Livestock interviews are Monday, August 5th, schedule at https://oh.4honline.com. Make-up Livestock Interviews are Monday, August 12th, schedule at https://oh.4honline.com. Our Safety Officer, Levi Rash, and Energy Officer, Caley Byers, need to provide a presentation by our August 7th Meeting. The following people still need to provide a demonstration, Caley Byers, Madi Gaerke, and Trevor Mahler. We made $28.35 from recycling the aluminum collected. The Fun Trip will be at Camp Clay, on Monday July 15th, we’ll be leaving at 10:45 and will return at 5:30, we’re meeting at Reineke Ford. Andrea Sewell moved to adjourn the meeting and Aaron Sewell 2nd that motion. Andrea Sewell demonstrated how to properly water your succulent and gun safety. Lauren Post demonstrated the steps to make your total look. Adam Reddish demonstrated the background papers to use for scrapbooking. Zach Altvater demonstrated how to reuse litter. Josie Kessler demonstrated the steps to scrapbooking. Levi Rash showed common emergencies for cats. Hannah Post demonstrated how to test the quality of your clothing. Shawna Bartson demonstrated the steps to photography and Mya Mahler demonstrated how to tie-dye with rubbing alcohol. Refreshments were provided by the Bartsons and Robinsons.

On June 19th, 2019 the meeting was held at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Leah Altvater and the 4-H pledge was lead by Althea Berry. There were 17 kids in attendance. Minutes from last meeting and the one before were read by Katelyn Mays. Zach Altvater moved to accept the minutes as read from the May 8th meeting and Krystle Robinson seconded the motion. Leah Altvater moved to accept the minutes as read from the June 5th meeting, Emma Sewell seconded the motion. Our treasurer, Shawna Bartson, reported that we have $142.93 and that is without the check from cleaning roads. No one attended a  Project Clinic. Katelyn Mays, Josie Kessler, William Mahler, Bryson Mahler, and Stephan Mahler all attended the Cloverbud Day Camp. We have received the check from Marion Township Road Cleanup but it is not yet deposited. Our Education and fun trip will be a tour of the Fire Department on, Monday, July 29th at 3:00 PM located at the Central Fire Station #1-720 South Main St., Findlay. Birthday in a Bag donations should be brought to our next meeting and the Hygiene Bag sign up sheet was passed out. Our Safety Officer (Levi Rash), Litter Officer (Zach Atvater), and Energy Officer (Caley Byers) still have to present before our last meeting. All projects must be judged at a county judging session, make-up judging session, or by a club advisor by August 1st. Junior Fair Entries are due by Friday, July 19th at midnight. Lauren Post moved that Laurie Sphar be removed from our banking account and Aaron Sewell seconded that motion. Aaron Sewell made a motion that we move Sarah Peoples to our banking account, Leah Altvater seconded that motion. Our next meeting will be July 2nd at 7:00 PM at Riverbend Park, we will have a cloverbud meeting at this meeting. Katelyn Mays moved to adjourn the meeting, Samantha Peoples seconded that motion. Zach Altvater demonstrated how to countersink a nail. Althea Berry demonstrated a song in sign language. Katelyn Mays showed parts of a pistol and some tips on how it should be used. Leah Altvater taught us about the different types of flour. Recreation was All Sports Day and there were no refreshments at this meeting.

The June 5, 2019 meeting of Riverbend 4-H Club was held at Bright Image Auto Detailing. The pledge of allegiance was lead by Caley Byers and the 4-H pledge was lead by Adam Reddish. There were 24 people in attendance this meeting. Minutes from last meeting were not read because our secretary was absent. The treasurer reported that we have $193.33. No one attended the Sewing Clinic held on May 13th. Emma Sewell attended the Cake decorating clinic. Katelyn Mays and Olivia Cullen attended the 4-H camp preview, and Krystle Robinson, Zach and Leah Altvater attended Livestock judging. We have not yet received our check from Marion Township Road Cleanup, but all roads have now been cleaned. Our education trip will be a fire department tour on July 29th at 3:00 PM. Project Clinics will be held Tuesday, June 11th at the Hancock County Extension Office. 10:00 AM will be for scrapbooking or woodworking, 2:00 PM is for food projects or how to prepare for judging, and 6:00 PM will be for cake decorating or sewing. Olivia Cullen moved that we donate $100 to the Chase McGuire Golf Tournament and Mya Mahler second the motion. The health officer, Adam Reddish, Safety officer, Levi Rash, Litter officer, Zach Altvater, and energy officer, Caley Byers, still need to provide a demonstration before our last meeting. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, June 19th at 6:00 PM and will be held at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. Aaron Sewell moved to adjourn the meeting and Emma Sewell second that motion. Demonstrations were presented by Adam Reddish, tips on running, Aaron Sewell, what fishing equipment is used for, Krystle Robinson showed how to brush your cat properly, Lyla Mahan showed a cooking demonstration, Emma Sewell demonstrated texture printing and Andrea Sewell showed the different parts of a camera. Drinks were brought by Josie Kessler and snacks were brought by Katelyn Mays.
