The purpose of the Hancock County Agriculture Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor outstanding contributions to agriculture by Hancock County people.

Annual awards will be made to individuals who have been instrumental to the success and excellence of agriculture, either as a farmer or in an agriculturally related field. The number of awards made each year may not exceed four, and the number of posthumous awards will not exceed two of the four awards. The number of awards presented each time (from none to four), will be determined by the Hancock County Hall of Fame Committee.

Award Categories: The award may be given in either of two categories Producer/Breeder OR Agricultural Related.

Candidates chosen for nomination must have made their major contribution to agriculture primarily as a result of being born, growing up, living in, or beginning their career in Hancock County. The goal is to have at least 25 years experience in agriculture.

Hall of Fame nominations may be submitted by an individual or organization by completing the nomination form and submitting to OSU Extension Hancock County, 7868 CR 140 Suite B, Findlay OH 45840.

Photos of inductees are displayed in the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center. Further recognition may be given throughout the year at special county events such as the Hancock County Fair.
